Vouchers and emails
You don’t send booking emails or make vouchers: tourpingo does, for every
booking made on your site, in the language checkout was given (locale).
What travellers get
Section titled “What travellers get”| When | |
|---|---|
| A booking is confirmed | The confirmation, with the voucher attached as a PDF. |
| A booking waits for the seller | “Request received”, then the confirmation or “Request declined”. |
| A bank transfer is due | The account to pay, the amount and the deadline. |
| The payment arrives | “Payment received”. |
| A booking is cancelled or expires | What happened. |
The voucher is one printed page, in English whatever the email’s language, since the seller’s staff read it on the day: the reference, the trip and option, the date, the travellers, the lead, the pickup, what was paid and what is to pay on the day, and a QR code.
Link them to your site
Section titled “Link them to your site”Every email has a “manage your booking” link, and the voucher’s QR code opens the same page. Both go to your site once the seller sets its address in the portal, under Contact for travellers, as Page to manage a booking:
https://www.example-tours.com/booking/{ref}?token={token}tourpingo puts the booking’s reference in {ref} and its signed token in
{token}. That page opens the booking with the token, as
managing a booking shows. Until the address
is set, the emails have no link and the QR code holds only the reference.
The same setting is the site that traveller sign-in links and passkeys belong to.
The voucher file
Section titled “The voucher file”There is no endpoint for the voucher’s PDF: it travels with the email. On your site, show the booking itself from the API: the same trip, date, travellers and payment.
